An Evening of Music at the Uplifting Mansion

Get ready for a magical night as the Uplifting Mansion teams up with some of the world-class musicians of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable evening of live music! As part of Near West Side Week, we’re opening our doors for a FREE, family-friendly celebration that brings extraordinary music right into the heart of the neighborhood.
Join us on September 14th at 3121 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53201. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and the performance begins at 6:00 PM, concluding at approximately 6:50 PM — so please arrive early to find your spot and be seated before the music starts. MSO musicians will fill the air with beautiful sounds from the Legacy Terrace in the Mansion’s backyard. Grab your blankets, bring the whole family, and settle in under the open sky for an evening you won’t forget.

Thinking about homeownership but don’t know where to start? Homebuyer education classes are here to help answer your questions and show you that the path to homeownership is possible! This is a free workshop, but you must attend a second session on Tuesday, September 22nd from 9:00am – 12:00 pm to receive your certification.

Rev Up is back for year 9! This year’s event will include the crowd-favorite, a “Taste of the Near West Side,” which features local cuisine and live entertainment that reflects the neighborhood’s energy and diversity. Visit entreprenuer booths and cast your vote for your favorite business. Hear from past Rev-Up winners before the awards ceremony.

This year, Near West Side Partners and Menomonee Valley Partners are joining forces to create an epic Scavenger Hunt through our two amazing neighborhoods! The Scavenger Hunt is a great way to learn about the Near West Side and the Menomonee Valley.

Groove & Flow Yoga

SWIM offers a great variety of health and wellness classes and workshops. If you’ve not been to a class, come and check it out! Groove & Flow Yoga is a beginner-friendly experience set to uplifting Hip Hop and R&B playlists. Participants move through accessible yoga postures, gentle flows, breathwork, and mindful stretching while connecting movement to music. The class promotes flexibility, balance, stress relief, and overall well-being in a supportive, judgment-free environment. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
