Anchor Institutions

Near West Side Partners, Inc. (NWSP) was founded through the support of five anchor institutions: Advocate Aurora Health, Harley-Davidson, Marquette University, Molson Coors, and Potawatomi Ventures. These organizations have a combined several hundred year history in the neighborhood of neighborhoods and collectively want to ensure the continued revitalization of the area.

Aurora Health Care 945 N 12th St, Milwaukee, WI 53233 An integrated, not-for-profit health care provider serving southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, Aurora Health Care started in 1984 when St. Luke's Medical Center and Good Samaritan Medical Center hospitals were established in Milwaukee. Aurora’s Sinai Medical Center is located in the Avenues West neighborhood. Harley-Davidson 3700 W Juneau Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53208 An American motorcycle manufacturer founded in Milwaukee in 1903 by William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson, Harley-Davidson’s corporate headquarters are located in the same Martin Drive neighborhood where the company first began. Marquette University 1250 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53233 A Catholic and Jesuit University located near the heart of downtown Milwaukee that offers a comprehensive range of majors in 11 nationally and internationally recognized colleges and schools, Marquette University counts among its core values a dedication to service that encourages students and faculty to immerse themselves in the Near West Side neighborhood near campus. MU is located in the Avenues West neighborhood. Molson Coors 3939 W Highland Blvd. Milwaukee, WI 53208 Miller Brewing Company was started by Frederick J. Miller in 1855 in “Miller Valley,” on Milwaukee’s Near West Side. Now a part of Molson Coors, the company has maintained its location in the Near West Side and is committed to building on its founders' legacies. Potawatomi Ventures 3215 W State St. Milwaukee, WI 53208 Potawatomi Ventures was established in 2002 as Potawatomi Business Development Corporation (PBDC) to serve as the economic development and income diversification business of the Forest County Potawatomi Community (FCPC). Headquartered in the Concordia neighborhood, its subsidiary companies and investments provide financial diversification for its shareholders and investment partners. It grows with a clear focus on profitability and sustainable economic development.
