Milwaukee’s streets are public spaces that should be safe and welcoming to everyone, no matter where they live or how they travel. We know that this vision is not a reality, and in order to change it, the City of Milwaukee is developing a Complete Streets Handbook that will include guidelines and policies to make streets more safe, enjoyable, and equitable. We need your expertise to make sure the handbook reflects the entire City and that safety, racial justice, and social equity are at the forefront of the policies included in the handbook.
The City is hosting the first (of up to four) community advisory group meetings on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. You can register for the meeting using this link: https://forms.gle/ y5kNwzUYyw3FifXz5
The City is also offering a limited number of stipends for organizations or individuals who would not be able to participate without financial support. Please let them know if you are interested in receiving a stipend on the registration form.
